Patient fell???
Is nurses suppose to bear all the consequences
& be held responsible for that?
But seriously, why us?
Though they fell in hosp,
but isnt both parties suppose to be responsible for tat?
Nurses can take precaution to reduce risk of fall
but isnt the patient suppose to play a part too?
when patient Noe they weak
and they insist of walkin.
When patinet feeling perfectly alrite
and when they stand up
They fell & they/relative push the blame on nurse.
what the hack is tat sia?
and nurses get all the shit frm the senior & MOH
& if worse, liscence taken away & banned us?
Is that fair to nurses out there?
No one Know the truth,
patient can hide or denied abt everything.
Investigation may help,
but not everytime its able to clear victim name
Example,
Patient was given fall risk wrist tag when admitted
Patient drop it accidentally & didnt report
Patient cut it off
& when they fall, they denied everything.
Ward get chaos
nurses got all blame.
Seriously,
i have no idea why is the patient's relative making such a big fuss over it.
So what if he's a lawyer?
Action Action only~
Im not the victim though she's my patient
I wasnt being questioned cos the incident took place before my shift start.
phew~
Sometime i do feel that,
nurses are being treated like shit laaa
Small issue complain
Big issue file a report -.-
when things done nicely, no compliment.
sometime not even a thanks.
lastly, nurses are not maid.
we are called the nurses cos we nurse patient
and not helpin you wif this and tat.
Typical singaporean. =.=
Okay, is the start of 2nd week attachment.
Went to gynae ward previously
and i learnt alott.
Thanks to enrolled nurse who really define "noble mum"
I was extremely touched by her words.
This was what she said:
"Not all sacrifices are bad,
If we were to look at the bright side,
all the sacrifices that we had done,
are for the benefits of our kids.
We doesnt wan them to suffer."
"Only thru sacrifices,
we maintain the quality of life we are leading,
only then,
we can give the best to the kids
&
to gif them happiness"
I love the way she due with patients.
she soo caring and sweet & nv failed to put up confidence look infront of the patient.
Not to forget what she had taught me:
"Treat the patients the way
you wanted to be treated.
Put yourself into their shoes,
&
you will understand"
okay, now im being posted to osteric ward.
